Take the Blindness From Your Eyes

by Weird Decibels

about

Written in 2017 'Take the Blindness From Your Eyes' was one of four songs to be written in our practise room; a return to our traditional way of writing.

The music was recorded and mixed within a fairly quick time frame and we dropped tuned for the first time to see what we could come up with.

Recorded, mixed and mastered on a Korg D3200 throughout 2017.

This cost us time to make, but no money as all the gear is ours. However if you pay for the track then the money we make goes to future projects.

Thanks for listening.

lyrics

I stand alone waiting on the train
last carriage on the Edinburgh line
underneath the failing light
I catch the stare of her eyes

the train stops; bored faces inside
some watch me approach
the woman on the platform side

go back there
go back now
take the blindness from your eyes
and look around

she recognised my face from college
wasted years, wasting time
avoiding our place
just to stand in line

we should've been sitting in a class
we head off to calender park
through the smoke
I could see dreams in her eyes

chorus

and look around!
And look around!

I don't' recognise the resignation in your eyes
